The estate

Located in Saint-Emilion, bordering Pomerol, Château Corbin's single vineyard covers 13 hectares and has been owned by the same family since 1924. The 75,958 vines are treated with the utmost care in a quest for balance and respect for their ecosystem. Corbin's particularity is found in the personality of its wine, which combines purity, brilliance, velvety texture, length and emotion in the harmony of each vintage.

The vineyard

The Vintage

The vinification of the 2016 vintage is carried out in the new raw cement and thermo-regulated vat room. The blend of CORBIN 2016 is 89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc.

Château CORBIN 2016 is certainly a great vintage, marked by a remarkable balance on the fruit, acidity and freshness of the grapes.

Tasting Notes

Eye, bouquet, palate

The wine has a beautiful garnet color with light purple/violine reflections. The nose of this wine presents a complex aromatic palette with beautiful aromas of wild raspberries accompanied by fine notes of blackcurrant and a hint of liquorice. This wine has not yet revealed its full potential and promises to gain further complexity. The mouth is fleshy, dynamic and structured. On the finish, we perceive notes of cocoa.

Wine and food pairing

A veal filet mignon will go perfectly with this Château CORBIN 2016 (other suggestions: game, tournedos).
